Job Purpose

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, spare parts, services, and other requirements. The position is responsible for obtaining and evaluating quotations, negotiating commercial terms, processing Purchase Orders, following up on deliveries, and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers. The role requires close coordination with Warehouse, Finance, Engineering, Logistics, and other departments to ensure procurement activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and approval requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions (PRs) from different departments.

• Identify suitable suppliers and request quotations.

• Prepare and distribute RFQs to local and international suppliers.

• Collect and compare supplier quotations.

• Prepare quotation comparison sheets and procurement recommendations.

• Negotiate prices and commercial terms within assigned authority.

• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).

• Follow up on supplier order confirmations and delivery schedules.

• Monitor open POs and provide regular status updates.

• Coordinate with suppliers regarding technical documents, certificates, invoices, and shipping documents.

• Coordinate with Warehouse, Finance, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth procurement.

• Follow up on local and international shipments and deliveries.

• Assist with customs clearance and logistics documentation when required.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier information.

• Support supplier evaluation and performance monitoring.

• Handle supplier inquiries and resolve routine purchasing issues.

• Ensure procurement activities follow company procedures and approval requirements.

• Support the Senior Procurement Officer and Procurement Manager with procurement reports and other purchasing activities.

• Experience in contracting and legal acknowledgment
