Position Purpose

The CTO / IT Director is the senior executive accountable for Group technology strategy, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, digital transformation, IT service delivery, technology investments, and the IT organization. The role converts business strategy into an integrated technology roadmap and ensures that systems supporting finance, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, warehouses, distribution, sales, HR, and management reporting are secure, reliable, well governed, and capable of scaling with the Group. Title note. The final appointment may carry the title Chief Technology Officer or Group IT Director according to the approved executive structure; the scope remains a Group-level technology leadership mandate.

Key Accountabilities

Technology Strategy, Governance, and Operating Model

 • Develop and maintain a three-to-five-year Group technology and digital-transformation strategy aligned with growth plans, operational priorities, acquisitions, customer channels, and risk appetite.

• Translate the strategy into an annual technology roadmap, investment portfolio, operating budget, architecture principles, service standards, and measurable business outcomes.

• Establish clear Group-wide IT governance covering decision rights, demand prioritization, architecture, cybersecurity, data ownership, change control, procurement, access, service management, and project assurance.

• Advise the CEO and executive team on technology opportunities, operational risks, investment choices, emerging capabilities, and the business impact of technology decisions.

• Define the appropriate balance between centralized shared services and business-unit support, with clear accountability, service catalogues, SLAs, escalation paths, and chargeback or allocation rules where applicable.

• Own the enterprise application landscape and roadmap, including ERP, finance, product costing, procurement, manufacturing, quality, inventory, warehousing, sales, distribution, HR, CRM, business intelligence, and related platforms.

• Lead ERP modernization, optimization, integration, rollout, or replacement programs across Group entities, standardizing core processes while controlling unnecessary customization.

• Ensure application controls, master data, integrations, interfaces, approval workflows, segregation of duties, release management, and documentation remain reliable and auditable.

• Partner with Finance and Operations to improve product costing, inventory visibility, planning, traceability, margin analysis, working capital, and management reporting through better systems and data.

• Develop a practical automation portfolio using workflow, mobile, self-service, integration, AI, and robotic-process capabilities where these deliver measurable value and controlled risk.

• Establish disciplined benefits realization so transformation initiatives are measured against approved objectives, adoption, service improvement, cost savings, revenue enablement, and risk reduction

Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Distribution Technology

• Work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial leaders to define the technology required across factories, warehouses, distribution centers, fleet operations, sales channels, and customer service.

• Strengthen batch and lot traceability, expiry management, quality status, warehouse accuracy, production reporting, recall readiness, and food-safety information flows across the value chain. • Guide the use and integration of manufacturing, warehouse, transport, route-sales, demand planning, fleet, cold-chain, barcode, mobility, and e-commerce technologies where applicable to the Group's operations.

• Establish clear IT/OT governance with Engineering and plant management, including ownership boundaries, secure connectivity, vendor access, backup, patching, change control, recovery, and lifecycle planning for operational technology.

• Ensure production and distribution technology is designed for high availability, resilient offline or fallback operation where necessary, accurate interfaces, and rapid incident escalation during operationally critical periods.

• Promote practical smart-manufacturing and supply-chain improvements that reduce waste, downtime, manual work, stock loss, delivery exceptions, and decision latency.

Infrastructure, Cloud, and IT Service Management

• Own the reliability, security, performance, and lifecycle of networks, connectivity, cloud services, servers, data centers, end-user computing, collaboration platforms, telephony, backup, identity, and site technology.

• Define availability, capacity, monitoring, patching, configuration, lifecycle, and support standards for all critical technology services and sites.

• Implement disciplined IT service management covering service desk, incidents, requests, problems, changes, assets, configurations, knowledge, SLAs, vendor escalation, and user communication.

• Maintain business continuity and disaster-recovery capabilities for critical systems, with documented recovery objectives, alternate procedures, tested backups, and regular recovery exercises.

• Provide dependable multi-site support and ensure urgent manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, financial-closing, and commercial incidents receive appropriate priority and executive visibility.

Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk

• Develop and maintain a risk-based cybersecurity strategy covering governance, identity, endpoints, networks, cloud, applications, data, operational technology, third parties, awareness, monitoring, incident response, and recovery.

• Ensure technology operations comply with applicable Jordanian requirements, contractual obligations, Group policies, data-protection expectations, audit standards, and delegated authorities.

• Maintain effective access governance, privileged-access controls, segregation of duties, vulnerability management, security testing, logging, alerting, backup protection, and remediation tracking.

 • Lead technology incident and cyber-crisis response, including containment, business communication, forensic coordination, recovery, lessons learned, and closure of corrective actions. • Assess supplier, cloud, outsourcing, software, and integration risks before engagement and throughout the contract lifecycle.

 • Report material technology risks, control gaps, incidents, exceptions, recovery readiness, and remediation progress to executive management and the Board or relevant committee.

Data, Analytics, and Responsible AI

• Establish Group data governance covering ownership, definitions, master data, quality, lineage, access, retention, integration, and authoritative sources for critical business information.

• Create an enterprise analytics roadmap that provides reliable operational, financial, commercial, customer, supply-chain, quality, and workforce insights through governed dashboards and self-service tools.

• Set standards for responsible AI selection and use, including data protection, human oversight, security, accuracy, intellectual property, vendor risk, and measurable business value.

• Build data literacy and ensure executives and managers understand the definitions, limitations, controls, and actions associated with key technology-enabled reports.

Portfolio, Project, and Change Leadership

• Establish an integrated technology portfolio and project-governance process covering business cases, scope, architecture, resources, dependencies, risks, milestones, budgets, quality, testing, cutover, adoption, and benefits.

• Sponsor or directly lead major transformation programs, ensuring executive decisions are timely and delivery remains aligned with approved outcomes.

 • Require robust process design, data preparation, testing, training, communication, cutover, hyper care, and post-implementation review for material system changes.

• Build effective partnerships with business process owners and ensure technology change is accompanied by clear accountability, adoption measures, and operating discipline.

• Provide transparent portfolio reporting and escalate material cost, schedule, scope, quality, adoption, security, or vendor risks with recommended action.

Budget, Commercial Management, and Technology Assets

• Prepare and control the Group technology operating and capital budgets, forecasts, business cases, commitments, accruals, and variance explanations.

• Optimize total cost of ownership across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecommunications, support, outsourcing, projects, and technology assets without weakening resilience or control.

• Lead strategic vendor selection, due diligence, negotiation, contracting, licensing, performance reviews, renewal decisions, and exit planning in cooperation with Procurement, Finance, and Legal.

• Maintain accurate technology asset, license, subscription, warranty, contract, configuration, and lifecycle records and prevent uncontrolled or duplicative purchasing.

• Use benchmarks, demand management, standardization, consolidation, and commercial discipline to improve value while maintaining service quality and scalability
